Water has a profound and primal connection with us. Its wonder lies in its ability to serve all things while adapting to all forms. In the Tao Te Ching, Laozi describes water as "being good at staying low, it thus becomes the king of all valleys." Drawing from this natural phenomenon, the artist extracts the liquid's characteristic of "taking shape according to its container." Water has expressions—in nature, it exists in myriad moods, engaging with us in emotional dialogue. The artist ingeniously employs water's fluid dynamics. Through a meticulously designed underwater programmed mechanism, the water surface is made to sink into the shapes of Chinese characters, creating a spectacular dynamic calligraphy on the water. It appears as if an invisible divine brush is swiftly writing across the surface. By tapping into water's unique expressive qualities and emotional resonance, the work poetically integrates into the broader landscape context of "Xu Pavilion’s Misty Willows."
