Immersive Theatre "Mermaid by the Stagnant Water"

This is a special kind of theatre piece where the audience is free to roam within a 2,300-square-meter performance space. Turn around, and an actor might start performing right next to you, or even invite you to join in the show. If you're lucky, an actor may invite you alone into a small room for a "one-on-one" performance. Co-directed by renowned theatre director Meng Jinghui and Zheng Jing, associate professor at the China Academy of Art, the immersive play Mermaid by the Stagnant Water had its premiere in the teaching building of the Department of Public Space Art on the Xiangshan Campus of the China Academy of Art.
